Hampshire Cup youth results update

The weekend's news from the Hampshire Cup youth fixtures was again excellent.

  • The Under 11 Wildcats ran out with a comprehensive away win at Crookham Rovers (3-12) and will meet Curley Park Rangers at home on 12th November.
  • The Under 12 Knights went into extra time away at Sarisbury Sparks and won (5-6) and next play Wimbledon Park Tigers on 13th November at home.
  • The Under 13s team beat Oakwood (6-1) at home and bring Eastleigh Juniors to Bohunt also on 13th November.
  • The Under 14 Lions comprehensively beat Ranvilles Rangers (13-2) at home and next have an away fixture with Horndean Hawks.
  • The only disappointment of the weekend was that the Under 16 Warriors came up against a Winchester City Academy team who wouldn't look out of place in men's football and were very clinical in their treatment of our team.

Congratulations to you all for such outstanding achievements and good luck for Round 3.

Charter Standard Announcement

It gives me tremendous pleasure and pride to announce to the Club that yesterday we received a letter from the Hampshire FA telling us that our application for Charter Standard status had been granted. This is a massive milestone for the club and represents the very hard work of a great many people over the last 7 years.

There will be a formal presentation in due course and I will pass one the details as soon as I have them.

So once again, we can walk just that little bit taller knowing that Liphook United FC is a club with the highest standards.

My thanks to you all.
