In his introduction, Martin Feast summarised some of the achievements that have brought great honour to Liphook United and to our community. At the close of this season, Liphook United has 15 youth and mini soccer teams with nearly 200 youngsters training and playing in non-competitive and competitive matches.

Liphook Men's Reserves are double champions too!

Having just recently been pronounced Hampshire Premier Football League (HPFL) Combination Division Champions, the Liphook United Reserves were in action again today against Sporting BW Reserves in the HPFL Combination Cup final at Privett Park, Gosport.

Liphook went ahead in the 28th minute with an Andy STOTT goal and it looked like victory would go to Liphook. However, in the last minute Sporting BW struck back to make it 1-1 at full time. Going in to extra time, a Sporting BW mix-up resulted in their keeper being sent off for handling the ball outside his area. Liphook showed no mercy as they used the advantage to despatch Sporting BW with three more goals. Final score 1-4 to Liphook United Reserves AET.

Liphook United Men's Reserve Team celebrated being presented with both the HPFL Combination Division Champions Cup and the HPFL Combination Cup.

Hampshire FA Cup Winners for the third time!

"Kev Adair's Blue & White Army" were supported by hundreds of Liphook fans and players from the senior, ladies and youth teams during this fast moving confrontation between 2010 Cup winners Liphook United and AFC Totton Reserves at Andover New Street FC's Foxcotte Park ground.

After a hesitant start by both teams, a few early but unsuccessful chances for Totton put Liphook on full alert. From there on Liphook controlled the proceedings. Several shots at the Totton goal met with some outstanding saves by their keeper. It was a free-kick just before half time that resulted in the only goal of the match: Ryan Angear swung the free kick and a glancing header by Leigh Keddle deflected the ball into the net.

Liphook continued to control the second half and should have doubled their lead but neither team were successful in getting the ball in the net. Afterward, Manager Kevin Adair said, "The players did all I asked of them and they got everything they deserved - a cup winner's medal".

(See YouTube videos on Men's First Team page.)

Final score: Liphook United 1, AFC Totton Reserves 0.  Liphook scorer: Leigh Keddle.  Man of the match: Ryan Angear.

Well done to Manager Kevin Adair, Captain Andy Luckhurst and all the team!

Chairman Nigel Marr said, "I am incredibly proud of the team to have won the cup for the third time in four years".

Thanks also to Champney's Forest Mere for their hospitality and pampering of the team the evening before the match.

Kevin Adair's Blue and White Army is on the march again!

Another large turnout at the Rec cheered Liphook United on their way to their third Hampshire Intermediate Cup final in four years during their 3-0 semi-final victory over Hampshire Premier Football League rivals Overton United.

In the 26th minute Ryan Angear took an inswinging corner kick, which was sensationally headed home by Steve Harding, see photo above. Further goals were skillfully delivered by Glen McGrath in the 42nd minute and Rob Morrad in stoppage time. See more photos and the match report in the Puma Engineering HPFL newsletter.
