Liphook United FC Men's Reserve Team
After an excellent 2008/09 season in the Surrey Elite Intermediate Football League Reserve Division, in which we narrowly missed being the reserve champions, we have graduated this season to the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier Football League (HPFL), Combination Division. The HPFL is at Level 7 in the FA's National League System (and level 11 in the overall English football league system) and we look forward to raising our game to meet this new challenge.
We're grateful for the support of our sponsors: Andy House car body repairs for our home and 3rd strips, Northover's for our away strip, NT Sports and DT Plumbing for our training kit, and also Leotronics and Highbrook Stables for some of our other teamwear.
Thanks also to you and all our supporters for following us.

Has a great attitude and sets a good example to everyone with his commitment to training and games. |
|
Alex LongASSISTANT MANAGER / GOALKEEPER Played most of last season at full back. Converted to goalkeeper at the start of the current season and is growing into a very accomplished performer. A great natural shot stopper who is getting better with each game and developing in other areas. Alex's duties also include his role as the Men's Club Secretary. |

Billy WrightDEFENDER Billy can play in every position across the back four. His reading of the game is well beyond his years. One of the current crop of youngsters the club is very proud off. Already a valued defender, if he continues to develop at the current rate he will go on to be a very useful asset to the club. |
|
Arnold MironDEFENDER Another of the talented youngsters within the club. A natural centre-half who is strong in the air, a great tackler and a player who is at ease with the ball at his feet. Arnold is learning fast in his first season in adult football and is showing a great deal of potential. |

|
Mike BorowiakMIDFIELD A recent addition to the squad, coming down from a long spell with the first team and one of last year's cup finalists. A great addition to any side. A naturally wide player who can play equally well at either full-back or wide midfield. |

Mike StottCAPTAIN / MIDFIELD Signed this season. A tough tackling midfield General but also with exceptional range of passing. Mike is a victim of his own style of play who often picks up his fair share of knocks and injuries leaving him to miss a lot of football. But when fit he is a real prize asset. |
Craig ThorneMIDFIELD Craig has a natural ability as a wide player with great flair. Another new signing this year from Headley. A young player who is developing all the time. He is a good crosser of the ball and also a good finisher who is capable of scoring plenty of goals. |

Rob MorradMIDFIELD / ATTACK Robbie has just returned after a lengthy knee injury. He is currently working very hard on regaining his fitness and re-discovering the form that has seen him so successful in the past. He is a wise sage that is never afraid to chip-in with advice for other players. |
Damian TuttonATTACK Returning to the club this season after a spell with our neighbours, Liss. A good finisher who has the ability to be in the right place at the right time. A player who won't give up and is 100% committed to the club. A good trainer who continues to work hard at his game. |
|
Mark BowlerATTACK A typically old-fashioned centre forward. He makes himself known to all defenders and is as equally strong in the air as he is on the ground. A great finisher who will work tirelessly to the end with a never say die attitude. Another who seams to be plagued by injuries. Would run through a brick wall if he had to. |
|
Adam PiersonATTACK Adam recently returned to the club after a spell at Alton. He possesses tremendous pace and is a handful for any defence; a player who will surely be returning to the first team soon. No one covers more ground during a game. He continues to dine out on scoring the winning goal in last season's Hampshire Cup victory. |
